Healthy Plant-Based Recipes & All The Inspiration You Need to Thrive
Morning Greens Drink (ve)
Learn how I make my morning drink that is full of goodness. It’s more substantial than a juice but less thick than a smoothie making it the perfect drink to start the day with especially if you’re trying to increase your leafy greens intake.
No-Stir Roasted Tomato Risotto (yes, it’s Vegan!) (ve, gf)
Love a risotto but have better things to do than stirring it? Same! Let me introduce you to my no-stir risotto – it’s indulgent, creamy and moreish and doesn’t require a lot of attention. The kind of dinner that takes care of itself so you can dedicate time to the things and people you love.
Vegan Pancakes with a Berry Sauce (ve, gf, refined-sugar free)
Is there anything better than a big stack of [vegan, wheat and refined sugar-free] pancakes on a Saturday morning? I don’t think so. These pancakes are light and full of goodness whilst still delicious and easy to make.
Winter Squash, Carrot & Ginger Soup (ve, gf)
Add more orange to your diet with this deliciously creamy soup and boost your beta carotene, an antioxidant linked to lung health – something we’re always looking out for during winter. The vitamins C and A will also contribute to your eye and skin health as well as your overall immunity.
Tofu & Broccoli Scramble (ve, gf)
This is one of those recipes that make the perfect breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s beautiful on its own, served with some rye sourdough or alongside roasted sweet potatoes. Top it with avocado slices or kimchi, you get the gist, it’ll be delicious whichever way you want to eat it! It also makes a super nutritionally balanced base for your meals.
Comforting Miso Broth (ve, gf)
This miso broth is one of my favourite things to eat during wintertime. It’s light and satisfying and packed with veggies and probiotics. The perfect meal when you need a little reset or are short on time and need a quick nourishing meal (I promise you, it’s quicker than ordering your favourite take-away).
Creamy & Nutritious Mac-No-Cheese (ve)
When transitioning to a plant-based diet, cheese is the thing people seem to miss the most. However, with mounting evidence linking saturated fats (present in dairy products) and increased inflammation in the body, a traditional mac & cheese is far from being considered a healthy meal – at least in my books. Instead of feeling bloated, heavy and nauseated after your mac & cheese, this version is way more nourishing, healthy and light whilst still as (if not more) delicious.
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Chai Biscuits (ve, gf)
Every year on 1st December, I always look back in amazement at how quickly the year went by. It feels like summer just ended and here we are decking the halls. And even though I prefer those warmer days, Christmas is, by far, my favourite time of the year: Christmas trees, the festive markets in every street corner, the lights and decorations and the gatherings with family and friends. In an attempt to soak up every single second of this holiday spirit I want to invite you to try these chai biscuits – perfect to leave for Santa on Christmas Eve🎄
How To Successfully Change Your Habits – For Good!
A huge part of the work I do with my clients is to give them the right tools and strategies for habit change. Personally, I don’t think there are good and bad habits, what there are is habits that are serving you and habits which, right now, are not aligned with the person you want to be. Another thing I would like you to keep in mind is that, many times, we have complex triggers around a habit. For example, if your poor diet habits are rooted in emotional eating you need to address that holistically because you won’t be able to sustain your diet changes until you have worked on your emotions.
Mince Pies (ve, gf, refined-sugar free)
Deliciously festive mince pies, with the Mana Living twist. These wheat and gluten-free, refined sugar-free, vegan mince pies are the perfect addition to any Christmas table, whether you’re a health-conscious vegan or not. They also make great edible gifts. I wholeheartedly believe that, if we care for our loved ones, we should give them the gift of wellness (in the form of healthy food, activities etc.) instead of more traditional gifts such as alcohol and processed treats.
How To Start a Meditation Practice
Meditation isn’t a practice of trying to be a certain way or change anything. It’s a practice of turning inwards, listening and accepting whatever is happening in the moment so that we can support ourselves through whatever is happening in our lives. No matter how hard, disappointing or scary it may feel.
Super Greens Pasta
This is one of my favourite pasta dishes right now. It’s creamy, comforting and packed with nutritious ingredients such as cruciferous, leafy greens, legumes and nuts.
My Biggest Advice When It Comes to Emotional Healing
The first step to overcome emotional trauma is to surrender to the fear and pain. Some days it will feel like an impossible task, but it isn’t. It’s only when we surrender to our darkest feelings that we can, not just heal, but rise higher. Without pain there is no growth, without grief there is no love, without fear, there is no courage. Suffering guides our path to the light and guides us to who we came here to become.
Low-Fat Pumpkin Pies (ve, gf, refined-sugar free)
Autumn and winter are usually the seasons I crave more sweet, comforting foods. There is something about the cold, wet weather that makes me want to stay at home with a piece of pie or cake and a herbal infusion.
How to Show Up for Yourself – Everyday!
Exercise increases oxygen capacity, bone density (especially for weight based exercises), raises good cholesterol, lowers blood pressure and has been shown to reduce incidence of cardiovascular disease by 50%! But the benefits don’t stop here: it also increases your lean body mass and resting metabolic rate, strengthens the immune system and improves sleep quality.
Vegan Roasted Tomato & Watercress Frittata (ve, gf)
A weekend brunch favourite – this vegan frittata is packed with protein and flavour. I love the roasted cherry tomatoes and watercress combination but, just like a regular frittata, you can use any veg you have on hand.
Six Pillars of Wellness - My Framework To Simplify Health
A healthy state goes beyond the absence of illness. It is a combination of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. That’s why I created my framework, which I called Six Pillars of Wellness.
Green Goodness Soup (ve, gf)
A deep and sweet soup with nourishing greens – just pure comfort and simplicity! It all comes together in 30 minutes and makes for a perfect lunchbox soup too. I love it topped with spicy roasted chickpeas and basil for a fresh taste.
